Did you ever collect baseball or football cards and trade with your friends?   This graphic was created to reflect the trading cards of life.  Everyone is dealt a set of cards or circumstances: sorrow, pain, sickness, shame.  And the good news is, Jesus trades our cards of sorrow and pain for cards of joy and strength.

The upward direction and angle of this graphic shouts out to all the earth, “there is none like Jesus our Savior, the mountains bow down and seas roar at the sound of his name.” We can shout to the Lord as nothing compares to God’s promises.

In reference to the words of “How Great is Our God,” this image was chosen because of Christ’s upraised hands, symbolizing a holding of time in his hands as he stands, age to age.  Clothed majestically, Christ is shown half in light, with darkness trying to hide, “the darkness trembling at his voice.”  His posture suggests the greatness of God.

Not just another pretty nature scene, this “nothing but stark rock” picture was chosen for “Blessed”  because of the pouring of water.  “Blessed Be Your Name” sings of the flowing streams of abundance, the pouring out of blessings.  We are encouraged to praise God whether the sun is shining or the darkness closes in, encouraged to find blessings in the midst of good times and nothing but harsh, rocky, bad times.
