Licensing and Use of Images

> Copyright issues are complex so we've tried to make it easy for you! We do not require any membership or licensing fee. The use of our imagery is for digital viewing at one ministry address of the purchasing organization. Since the imagery is intended for the purpose of worship or a faith educational event, purchasers must be organizations and not individuals.

> Seminaries, church governing organizations like presbyteries, districts, synods, conferences, must maintain control of imagery at their organization’s office, and may display MD media at district or presbytery meetings, at other locations as long as the copyrighted imagery is located on their organization’s laptop or flash drive. These groups may not share media with their students, individual churches or other governing bodies.

> Your purchase includes the “rights” to display the digital images, but not actual ownership of the images. You can continue to show and use them for worship and faith education purposes as long as you give credit and use them for their intended purpose.

> The “rights” remain with an organization and staff must delete all Ministry Depot imagery from their personal computers and files when they change employment. Organizations are responsible for maintaining control of copyrighted imagery. We have chosen to believe that churches can be trusted to be ethical in these matters. If you can’t trust the Church, who can you trust?

> The following options are acceptable to give credit for the copyrighted material: (1) Print a line in the credit section: “Media by ministrydepot.com” (2) Link on your website: www.ministrydepot.com, under or near the image.

> If necessary, images may be stored on no more than two computers at the ministry address & one computer off site, a limit of 3. No more than one back up copy may be created.

> You cannot sell, loan, give or transfer “rights” of our imagery to others outside of the purchasing organization. Multiple worship sites count as one organization if they are legally covered under the same tax exempt number AND receive their mail at the same address. However, because of the computer storage limitation, organizations should consider purchasing images for each site.

> You may copy the master images (downloaded after purchasing rights) to produce your public presentation for worship. You may copy them for however many slides you need to produce, for song text, prayers, announcements, sermon illustrations, etc. You may also add text to the images. We request however, that you do not alter the design.

> All rights not specifically granted above are retained by the Licensor.

Payment Process

> You must be registered and signed in to purchase any products, resources and images. Add the desired products to your cart and proceed to checkout. You do not need a PayPal account, but do need a major credit card. PayPal is the secure online payment gateway that will process your credit or debit card. You will need to create a username and password and give an email address. Please safely record these items for future reference as we do NOT have access to your PayPal information.

> After the payment is processed and cleared with PayPal (normally less than a minute), you will return to your MD account and download your images. Look for a blue ball with green arrow icon to the far right and double click. There will be a folder with a zipper which you must unzip and save again. When saving your images to your computer, note their location or file. We are not responsible for lost images on your computer.

> NOTE: The download link will expire in 48 hours. DO NOT FORGET to save them to a computer within this time. This will count as the first of two computers that the images can be saved to at the ministry site, or one offsite computer.

Liability

> While we strive for excellence in our web presence & products, common internet use carries some measure of risk and factors beyond our control. Ministry Depot ® assumes no liability or responsibility for factors that might result in some form of inconvenience or harm to a member’s computer, worship, planning & scheduling, etc. Use of our website and products are at your own risk and discretion. See Terms of Use at the bottom of the page.

Refunds

> Because of the digital nature of this product, we are not able to offer refunds once an image is downloaded. If there is a defect or problem in quality, we will send you a replacement.

Image Format?

> All digital images are in JPG format, 1024 x 768, an appropriate resolution for a screen/projector. This is a standard format and usuable in various presentation programs. This resolution is not appropriate for printed material. All images are available as downloads.

Acknowledgements

> If you believe that any of our material infringes upon your copyright, please email us the details. We are grateful to several government entities for public domain images: BLM, NASA, USFW, US Army, USAF, USDA, US Navy & US Marines. Most of all, we are grateful for the support and encouragement of precious family and dear friends.

Website, Video, TV, Podcast

> To use an image on your organization’s website, worship video recording, podcast, TV broadcast, CD or DVD duplication, you must pay for additional rights, using the “licensing calculator” on each image’s detail page. Imagery on websites must be thumbnail size, no larger than 15 k and shown that it is copyrighted by www.ministrydepot.com.

Private Gallery and Photographer Sign Up

> The Private Gallery is for the viewing of custom work for clients. The Photographer Sign Up is NOT available at this time. Sometime in the future, we may offer the digital art of other artists and photographers.

The Lightbox

> The Lightbox is YOUR collection of images. You may add up to 30 images to your lightbox. If you wish to purchase an image that is in your lightbox, click on the thumbnail to view the enlarged image. Select the items that you want to purchase and click on the "add to cart" button.
 

Shopping Cart

> The shopping cart displays your order details, if you wish to delete an image from your order before proceeding to checkout, simply hit the remove link on the right side.
 

Checking Out

> You will need to login to checkout your order. If you are new to the site please complete the registration form to create a username and password. This information is stored, so that you can return to the site to make future purchases and so that we can review your orders.

> We utilize PayPal for purchases made on this site.

My Account

> This page shows your order history and also allows you to download any instant download orders.
 

Searching

> We have endeavored to create an easy to search database for our growing collection of images. As you can see there are numerous categories to browse. You can also enter keywords in the search box to narrow your choices. We have embedded keywords into all the image collections to respond to more selected searches. The scope of your search results will be determined by your selection of keywords.

> Advanced Search -
There are three options available.

• Match at least one keyword
  The system will return results for any media that contain either one of the input keywords in its properties.

• Match all keywords
  The system will only return results for any media that contain all input keywords in its properties.

• Match exact phrase
  The system will only return results for any media that contains the exact input keyword phrase in its properties.
